>> Tuesday, September 28, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bottega Verde. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s getting even colder here in Michigan, which means winter is coming, and with it, dry, itchy skin. Every year at this time I suffer from itchy winter skin, which means I need a lotion that works well with my skin type to prevent chaffing. I’ve used expensive lotions for quite a long time, and I've gotten used to them, but sometimes I think they aren't really worth the extra cost. Now there’s a lotion I can use made with better ingredients and worth its value. It's called Bottega Verde.

Bottega Verde is a better lotion; it's a beauty product that will bring out the beauty in you naturally. When it comes to healthy skin, I think natural essentials such as olive, honey, almond, Shea butter oil, all the natural important ingredients. After checking into their moisturizer products, I was convinced they were able to treat dry, itchy skin. They have products that will absolutely heal your skin and keep it soft and hydrated during the cold season.  One of the products I want to try is the Olive oil body butter; it contains an extra virgin olive oil grown in Tuscany, Italy. I know I will enjoy their exotic Italian beauty products known for toning, refreshing, and reviving skin. I’m definitely a beauty girl; I love to try new beauty products. I look for the ones that will help my skin to renew itself and just make it healthier than ever for a longer period of time. Bottega Verde is what I've been looking for.

So, if you want to try their great products as well, just visit http://www.bottegaverde-usa.com/Italian-Beauty-Package.html for more information on how to enjoy free products samples. Time for Fall Shopping

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Liz Claiborne New York Outlets. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s getting colder here now in Michigan, which means it’s officially the fall season. I love the fall season when the leaves on the trees will soon be changing and making the trees on our street look so astonishing. During this time of year kids are returning to school, although my son is only 3 years old and isn’t ready for school yet until next year. So, I’m saving some of my excitement until next year.

Anyway, this is the time for parents to shop for new clothing for the fall season. This is the time for sweaters, jackets, even for getting an early start on shopping for coats. Recently, I’ve been looking for a new coat for my son. I really want to buy before the winter weather kicks in because by that time, many of the children stores will be out of his size. Also, I look forward to shopping for some new sweaters for my husband, as well. I'll need some outerwear and new sweaters too. I know that when my whole family needs new clothes it can cost a lot of money, and it is going to be hard for me to find a new jacket or trench coat for myself. Then I heard Liz Claiborne New York will be having a sale where everything must go at prices up to 40% - 70% off! I think I’m going to the nearest Liz Claiborne New York Outlets we have here in Michigan, like at Great Lakes Crossing Mall, to get some fashion accessories that are a must have this fall season, stylish new sweaters and cardigans, cute boots, jackets and trench coats!

I can't wait to treat myself to a new leather jacket and sweater while shopping for all the things at the top of my fall shopping list. Maybe I can get some summer clothes, too, since they are now up to 70% off! I’m so excited and I can’t wait to drive the hour all the way to the mall. It’s definitely worth the time to save money!

So, what are you waiting for? Visit the nearest Liz Claiborne New York Outlet store near you!

Thirteen Shows I Love to Watch!

>> Thursday, September 23, 2010

This week on Thursday 13!

Aside from being online and do blogging, one of the things I love to do and I think everybody does was watching TV. But, I was not just a TV addict since if I don’t like the show and I couldn’t find any interesting show then it’s better to turned off the TV than wasting some electricity on nonsense shows which now a days was quite on the loose.

Anyway, if I watched TV, there are more then 13 shows I love to watch, but I will narrow them down to my most favorite ones that I think might be worth watching for. So here are my 13 picks for this week:

1. Tru TV's Forensic Files - I love this show in the sense that how science works marvelously. I think this is the best show to watch especially if you wanted to be a cop or a forensic analyst. Well, I don't have a dream to be one but it was just so interesting to watch. I love to watch real life event and this was just one of them since the episodes was totally explore real cases where forensic science is used to solve crimes. If you want to take a look every Friday at 10 EST is the day where new episodes locked in.

2. Animal Planet's Human Prey - it's a single-season series that aired on Animal Planet. The series features episodes where human beings end up as easy prey for animals, carnivorous or herbivorous. It was indeed very interesting show to watch.

3. Animal Planet's Fatal Attractions - It may sound so crazy that a lot of people use dangerous animals as pets but it is a show that some people needs to be learn. The first time I watched the show, it looks disturbingly good so I have to watched the next season sometime next month.

4. Cheaters is a weekly syndicated reality TV show that documents people who are suspected of cheating on their partners. Investigations are headed by the Cheaters Detective Agency. Hosted by Joey Greco, the show airs on Saturday nights on The CW Plus and also airs on G4TV. The CW Plus airs two episodes: one one-hour long episode followed by one-thirty minute episode. A short 10-minute version of the show called Cheaters: Amazing Confrontations is available through on-demand services.

5. Glee - I never watched this show yet until one of the Philippine singer joined the club. Her name is Charice and was wacthing the first episode and I thought she was good. I think I have to watch the show from now on. Glee is a musical comedy drama television series that airs on Fox. It focuses on a high school show choir (a modern glee club).

6. Tru TV's World's Dumbest - I love this show! It was a good laugh show to watch! If you want to just laugh and laugh, this is the best show to watch! It's a weekly countdown that takes a comedic look at twenty half-witted and offbeat events caught on camera.

7. Tru TV's The Investigators - I just love the idea of criminal profiling idea! This show was amazing just like of Forensic Files. It's a criminal-justice documentary series that also reviews a broad range of cases, some well known (like the Black Dahlia murder mystery and the JonBenet Ramsey killing), others not.

8. NBC's Dateline - It's a show that includes frequent specials, investigative reporting and uses its news anchors as more than just news-readers. It's a very interesting show. One of the best show was to catch a predator.

9. Fox's America's Most Wanted - I love this show! It main purpose is to profile and assist law enforcement in the apprehension of fugitives wanted for various crimes, including murder, rape, child molestation, white collar crime, armed robbery, gang violence, and terrorism, and also many of whom are currently on the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. It was just a good way to go to find those criminals out there!

10. Tru TV's Power, Privilege and Justice - by Dominick Dunne - the show is all about the legal details of notorious criminal cases, but always kept his eye on the human story behind the crimes. Too bad he died due to a bladder cancer. I will miss his shows a lot.

11. Speeders - I love this show because some people was just so crazy! It's all about chases, outrageous excuses, unbelievable confessions and unprovoked outbursts -- all caught on tape!

12. America's Got Talent - It's a talent show that features singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and other performers of all ages competing for the advertised top prize of US$1 million. I was watching this show for once in a while but I love it.

13. Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters Academy, Ghost Hunters International - If you don't believe in Ghost then you will need to watch this show. It's an American paranormal reality television series.

Elegant and Yet Classy Address Plaques

About two weeks ago, I went to a baby shower of my husband’s cousin with my two sisters in law. At the shower, we talked bunch of stuff and we just having fun and laugh around. Then, we started sharing pictures of our kids and then that’s where we found out about my other sister in law’s new landscape. I never had seen their new landscaping yet because she was about 45 minutes away from me, so we never had a chance to just go out down there just to take a look. So anyway, I already seen enough from those pictures she showed to me. I also noticed at the picture her new address sign which was now put right at the lawn area. I was a bit envious with the idea that she has now her own garden surrounded by all these beautiful and pretty flowers.

Anyway, I like the idea of her putting a new address plaque number on their lawn because now you can easily see it unlike of what they have before. It was just a small number plaque that was placed right at their main door. It was a nice home address plaque because it can be an addition to a refined décor at her landscaping area plus she has these two bear holding a garden ball. It was very pretty neat.

Well, now I was planning to remodel our little up front yard maybe next summer or so, then maybe put some new wall address plaque since the one we got was old now and all the colors of the numbers were diminishing. So, I told my husband about it that I found a website where we can find selection of wall address plaques at very reasonable prices. I found one and it was the one at the picture (enclosed). Isn’t it elegant and classy? I love it! I can’t wait to get one soon to replace our old wall address number plaque.

Beanie and Crochet Hats

It’s been two weeks now that I was checking out this common fashionable beanie hat and crochet beret at any stores I could find online. I even searched something online which I found tons of them. Some were expensive while some of the beanie hats were just at reasonable prices. I wanted to get one or two at different colors for matching purposes and also it is now days are fashionable and I like the way it looks like which was better than any other stylish hats that you can wear during fall weather.

Anyway, I went to this one store where I found some crochet beret at their website. I wanted to go to the store to find some best deals. When I got there, I found different hats and the store was already out of the color I wanted which is in gray color. So, I ended up buying the black crochet beret and it was only $9.50 then, I got 15% off to it by signing up at their email newsletter. They also have the gray one with the little flower décor in it, I wanted it but I was skeptical. Now I was thinking of going back and get it maybe today or tomorrow.

As for the meantime, I was looking around and then checked on my email where I received some deals on Express.com. I found out online that they great deals when it comes to online and in store coupons. So, I print out some coupons and I can’t wait to go to the store to get some new beanie hat this time. It’s a metallic beanie hat in gray color was the one I was eyeballing on. I wish they’re available at the store or else I have to buy them online and pay shipping which I don’t really like about online shopping.

Well, now I was printing some of their coupons online which when you purchase $50 you can get $25 dollars off. Isn’t it an amazing deal? Then you can also get 15% off coupon too. Well, what else you can ask for? It’s shopping time!

How Do I Look?

>> Wednesday, September 22, 2010

I appreciate the guest post, Emerson Moses

A few weeks ago I caught the ending of a fashion television show that has quickly become one of my new favorites. The show “How Do I Look?” is a fun and interesting show on the Style Network. My satellite tv http://www.direct.tv/ just happened to be turned to this station one afternoon and I randomly caught the last few minutes. I was instantly hooked. Luckily there was another episode coming on directly afterwards, so I got to spend the afternoon watching fashion victims get made over my their friends and family and a stylist. The show is so much fun to watch from the beginning to the end. The people that are brought on this show have absolutely no fashion sense at all. I've seen women on this show wear bell bottoms, skin tight dresses and velvet pants.

The fun part is watching their friends and family go out and buy an entirely new wardrobe for the fashion victim. Once the wardrobes have been picked its time for the fashion disaster to try on each piece of clothing and then pick which wardrobe they like the best. Very rarely do they like any of the wardrobes upon seeing them. Its amazing to watch the makeover come together as they try on these clothes and realize how great they look in them.

Holiday is already around the corner and so everyone was probably saving money now for gifts. I still vividly remember when I was still in my home country whenever the month of September kicked in, we already could hear holiday music on any radio stations and/or even at the stores. Then, that’s where the time when kids think of getting new toys too. I’m thinking of getting something for my son this holiday that is something special and durable. I was thinking of getting him a new set of trains and cars again but I was not so sure yet.

Anyway, I went online for these past few days to find something online and maybe order it before the holiday. I found some products that was manufactured from a Le Toy Van company. I haven’t heard about this company yet, but I was quite trusting that they have a good quality of toys as what I can see on their website. All their toys were designed in Great Britain and manufactured in Indonesia and that give me insights of how their products would be. It modifies me to buy from this company.

After several minutes of looking around at their website, I finally found the one I was looking for to give to my son. A new Folding Scooter in blue color. I can’t wait to get this one soon.

S0, if you are looking for great gifts for children? Then visit them today to learn more about their toys! Don’t forget to check out their 2010 catalog!

Learning, Quote, Card Game, Show and Telll

This week on Curious as a Cat:

1) Share one thing that you learned recently.
=I learned that when your hair is wet and you go out side when the weather was cold, you will definitely get sick. It is better to use a blow dry to dry up your hair first. I did it about twice about three weeks ago and so during the second week, I got sick. I was eventually neglect the idea of what my sister told me a few days ago. Now, I'm getting over it and every time I go out, I have to make sure that my hair is dry or I have something on my head to avoid catching colds again.

2) Share a quote that applies to your life right now, one that is helpful, or that is stuck in your head for some reason, or one that motivates you.
=I have two quotes to share one can be found on my blog A Momma's Journal which said, "When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child." This quote was so perfect for my situation and I can proved that.

The second quote is “Never let go of hope. One day you will see that it all has finally come together. What you have always wished for has finally come to be. You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will ask yourself... 'How did I get through all of that?”. This quote brings hope to me. I always think that there's always a light in the end of the tunnel. I was quite in positive outlook here.

3) What is your favorite card game?
=One of my favorite card game is solitaire and UNO!

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

=Well, it was just a chaos! I don't have something in mind to remind me of this picture. I think I did but it was so blurry that I can't remember any details about it. But this one is chaos. A very old organizer for the bathroom? Well...

A Wife who wants Prada

>> Thursday, September 16, 2010

Sometimes being a woman is indeed needs a lot of hard work. For instance, you do household chores; you cook meals, give your child a bath and read books with them. Pamper your husband when he came home from work, and then do laundry and gardening and all of those kinds of jobs out there. Then, after every month, we also have to face the greatest challenge of a lifetime, a menstrual period. Isn’t it life of a woman challenging or a just a delusion. No matter what it is, for me being a woman somewhat deserved to be indulged with something meaningful. Therefore, when it comes to shopping time, we deserved to get and buy what we want, either a new pair of clothing, a new of shoes, a new purse, jewelry, or all of the above. It doesn’t matter how much it will cost, if you love your woman, then give her something useful, expensive to make her feel how much she was valued and something sweet.

Anyway, I wish my husband could read this post of mine since if he did, I want him to buy me something precious, maybe one of the authentic Prada handbags that I found online. It may cost a lot of money, but I think I would worth the price. I think I deserved something like Prada!

New Sunglasses on my Eyewear Collection

Last weekend, I went to one of my favorite store to return something that I ordered online. It was a tank top that looks so cute and yet so big for him. Too bad they don’t have the size I wanted for it, and so I ended up returning it and bought a new pair of sunglasses. Hold on, I was not supposed to buy a sunglasses rather a crochet beret, and yet I couldn’t find the one I saw at their website. I think the crochet beret was not available on the store and yet available at their store website. I was eyeing for their crochet beret for quite a while now. I was looking for it at some stores but I found one at Kohl’s. It’s Candie's Sequin Crochet Beret which was on sale for only $14.40 now which was originally priced $24. I wanted to get them all in different colors but of course, I don’t have that much money to buy them all. So, I guess I will have to choose either brown or gray, what do you think?

For the meantime, since I can’t find a pair of crochet beret at the local store I went to last weekend, I ended up buying a new pair of sunglasses, instead. Since I lost my old one a few months ago, I decided to just myself a new one. It’s Dana Buchman’s Caitlin sunglasses. The first time I tried it on; it sure became my new favorite pair. It has an ultraviolet protection shields for my eyes from the sun's rays and I just love the metallic-tone, logo and animal print arm details offer fashionable flair. I got it in black color and I think the only pair that was left. I got it for only $16.99 which was originally priced $34. What an amazing price for a pair of sunglasses.

Well, I've been wearing my new sunglasses for a while since there's still sunshine even though it's already chilly outside. However, I can't wait to wear them next year's summer time!

Shopping for Coats

I was in the midst of shopping for some coats for my son since the one that he has was already so small for him especially on the arms area. So, I have to give it to my sister for my nephew who is now a year old. Well, he was still so small to wear the coat but it might be a good idea that before he turned 2, he already has a coat to wear soon.

For the meantime, I was looking for a coat for my son. It seemed like some of the store wasn’t selling any winter coats yet so I have to wait. I found some at some of the children’s clothing store but they’re seemed to be not for severe winter coats. They looked like a jacket to me but I thought it might be a good idea to just get one just in case we will be having a mild winter snow this year. Well, who knows?

Anyway, I found some jacket at Gymboree store last weekend, when my sister in law and I went out to buy some gifts for a baby shower. It was actually a detachable hood pea coat which adds another style options. It has an inset zip placket and ribbed collar that a child an extra layer of warmth, as does the cozy micro fleece lining. I found one online but it was on navy color, the one I saw at the store was black. I thought it might be so big for my son because it’s barely for toddlers. I found some puffer coat and some pea coat at the Children’s Place but still looking as of now. I also found some at Old Navy for some puffer coat as well but I was not so sure about the material. I also find some vest at Crazy 8 since I wanted my son to have some puffer vest too because they’re seemed too cute for him, but I thought of not spending another money yet. So, for now I have to focus on buying him a coat which is essential for this upcoming winter.

By the way 77kids.com has some toggle coat for my son and I love its design. My husband wanted this one instead of the other coats, I found online and in store. He readily wanted me to get this one. He likes it because it will look our son to be like a little man. Well, let see…

I found some tons of new items on their clearance sections but one thing that amazes me is that they were offering free shipping on any $15 purchase plus an additional 30% off on entire purchase. I was so happy because then I needed a new top to match the skirt I bought a couple of weeks ago in the local store nearby. So happy that I found a top that I was exactly looking for. It’s an Embellished Bubble Tank top for only $11.19 after the discount, but I need to spend additional $4 to enjoy free shipping advantage, so I had to find something nice and look good on me.

After a several minutes of searching I found this Zebra Belted Top for only $8.39 after discount. I was so happy because now I could have a new set of new tops for fall. Best Proven Fat Burner

A lot of my friends were talking about how to lose weight specifically on the belly area. Some of us just had a baby about three years ago and some of them were already got two children. Then, we just in the middle of our coffee talk chit chats when my friend Emily shared about her latest green tea diet. I was quite skeptical about it since I don’t think green tea works unless she associates the green tea diet with exercise and meal diet plan. She told me that she was working out too and now she was looking forward to lose some weight. At the meantime, she was still working on it and I bet I never seen any changes in her. I think it might be a good idea to just find the best proven fat burner in the world today to make sure she lost the excess weight. I was thinking of getting a fat burner too because I know it will work so fast! You think so too?

Summer Fashion Accessories

A few days ago, when Labor Day weekend kicked in, I was thankful that I didn’t go up north for a labor weekend vacation. Why is that? Well, if I do, I will miss all the best deals and sale items on a clearance rack on some of my favorite clothing stores. Recently, I bought a new sandal and a new purse at one of my favorite store: Charlotte Russe.

When they have an extra additional 30% off on clearance items I bought a new sandal and purse right away plus you can enjoy free shipping which was I liked the most. It features the double faux leather and it has 4.5" wedge heel which is not bad at all. The best thing is I got the sandal for only $7.49 which normally priced $30.00. The purse was amazing when I received it. I ordered it knowing that it might be not what I expected for only $5.99 I was skeptical and yet satisfied since I only paid cheap. But I was surprised! I was so happy. The purse was cute and I could put a lot of stuff in it without looking it so baggy. I love the color gray and it was just perfect.

For the meantime, I can't wait to wear them next summer. I was so happy that I found a cheaper pair of summery sandal that can still be fashionable next year.

Now, Charlotte Russe was offering additional 50% off at all of their clearance section items. I wanted to shop for more but I was saving my money for now.

This post was not affiliated with any of Charlotte Russe management. This is a personal post of mine.

Breastfeeding with Time

A few months ago, I came to a two baby showers of a friend and my husband’s cousin. Then, last weekend, I went to a cousin’s baby shower again hoping this is the last time now. I love going to a baby shower but when the cold weather hits in, I don’t want to go out of the house. Anyway, some of them are planning to breastfeed while others are planning to just supplement. I know it is not easy to breastfeed, I guess some women was having hard times of dealing with especially when there’s no breast milk coming out. So, a lot of mothers just gave their infants a supplemental formula to satisfy their infants.

One time a cousin of my husband told us last weekend of how she aggravated what the nurse did to her. She was trying to breastfed her baby when the nurse came in the room; yell at her that she was starving her baby. It was the first day of her being a mother. The breast milk was not fully ready yet after three days. So, the baby was drinking colostrum and the nurse was just so rude. So the nurse took the baby and feed the baby with formula. Now, the baby was used to the bottled nipple and not her mama’s breast. I find it so rude because that’s not how nurse used to do. I felt so bad about what has happened to her. If that nurse knows the importance of breast milk to an infant and how to help first time mothers like my husband’s cousin to try hard and be patience to produce milk. Then, the mother would be a successful of how to product more breast milk to feed her baby. I was so overwhelmed with the problem.

Well, I remember when I had my baby almost four years ago. All of the nurses in the hospital I was admitted to always wanted me to breastfed my baby. They never stopped and even I felt so not to do it because it hurts, they still insisted and just have more patience to do it. I was successful but then I stopped when my son turned 6 months old. I think it is just a matter of how people helped others and I was lucky enough to meet some wonderful nurses that helped me out through all the steps of breastfeeding. You can find help online too, just click the link above for more information about how to breastfeed successfully.

Weight Breakthrough

A few days ago, I’ve been staying at home for a while due to the fact that we can’t go outside anymore because of the cold weather that is now fast approaching. So, while at home, watching TV, playing with my son, and eat some meals three times a day is what I do. Mostly my meals were included was white steamed rice and that made me gained some weight. I lost some weight a couple of months ago which I was so happy to know about. However, the last time I checked I was gaining 4 pounds. I felt so bad about it but reminiscing those times when I had good meals with shrimps and calamari was quite worth it.

Now, I have to lose weight again and maybe will do some ab workout this time than dancing workout. I stopped working out too for a few weeks now which is not a good thing at all. I need to do something about it before it’s getting too late.

Improved Quality Bathroom Fans

>> Friday, September 10, 2010

The other day, I was cleaning the house when I think about cleaning the lights in our bathrooms. We have 1.5 bathrooms where I find very accommodating because if you were in the living room, you don’t need to go up to the second floor just to go to the bathroom. Well, I’m so glad that we have a living room bathroom where also suitable for our visitors. So, I was cleaning the bathrooms when I noticed one of the bulb lights were burned out. So I have to replace it in order to avoid burning the rest of the bulbs. I was wondering it might be a good idea to just get bathroom fans where it has an incandescent light in them. I have seen a lot of bathroom fans online with lights. I find it very gratifying. Some of them have a sensory mode in it where it automatically turned on when it sense humidity. I think that’s helpful to eliminate water molds and mildew on the bathroom wall and it is just turned off after a few minutes.

Now, I was thinking of getting those types of bathroom fans. I think in order to prevent our bathroom from some sort of matrix and affliction it might be necessary to get that type of bathroom fan these days. Well, I need to negotiate it to my husband. I’m crossing my finger here.

Knitting and the internet

The Author of this post is Kory Dotson

There is no better thing for me to do then to sit around and create wonderful works of art with knitting. Knitting allows me to not only make money at my business online, but to also give gifts that are homemade to family and friends. This is the reason that knitting is such an important thing to me, transcending a mere hobby. It has also helped me to relieve a great amount of stress in different situations in my life.

There were times when I was forced to not only go and shop at different places around the city to get my materials, but sometimes I couldn't find certain things. I then had to go and search through mail order catalogs for objects I needed such as yarn and special needles. This took so much time and caused me a great deal of frustration. I ended up almost giving up knitting when I moved to Wasilla, because there were no supply stores near me.

When I realized that I could use the satellite internet I had with my DIRECTTV internet combo to simply shop online at various places from the comfort of my own home and be able to buy single items I needed, instead of bulk, it opened up new doors of productivity for me and now my online business thrives and I even sell from my house on the internet.

Half the Man I Used to Be

>> Tuesday, September 07, 2010

This week on Saturday 9:

1. Do you feel that you are essentially the same person that your were ten years ago?
=Well, ten years ago, I was on set of being a woman. At that time, I wasn't sure about what will happen to me. I was in college and merely focused only on my studies. At that time, I already knew what I wanted to do. Though, I was in the midst of looking for someone who I could spend the rest of my life with. I was young, naive, but quite matured enough to what I wanted to do. I think I was still the same as of what I was ten years ago. The only difference now is that I was a wife and a mom and that makes a lot of changes in me.

2. Is there something that you have to give all or nothing to?
=Well, sometimes I feel that I have to do anything just for the sake of my son. I think that's what all mother feels like. Agree? (if you are a mother)

3. Have you ever gambled? What have you bet on and for how much?
=I don't gamble at all but I do a lot of betting with my husband. You know what I mean.

4. Can you sleep anywhere or does it have to be in a bed?
=I can't sleep anywhere. I only sleep in a bed in our bedroom. I could sleep anywhere in the house like in the couch or at the futon in our basement but whenever I was out of the house, I had difficulties sleeping but usually it happened one night then the next time, I will fine.

5. Tell us about the most disastrous or embarrassing first impression you've ever made on someone.
=Disastrous? I don't think so. Maybe, embarrassing impression? Well, I don't think so. I could not think of anything. I think when I have seen someone thinking she was a nice and beautiful woman but when she start talking, well, I have to rethink and accept the fact that the she I saw was no letter s.

6. Do you have a memorable "ripped clothing" moment in your life? No? How about in someone else's?
=Well, I do when I was younger, I was wearing a skirt that has laces on them. I was at the house at that time and I just passed one of the chairs and suddenly it ripped my skirt's laces. It was funny though since I tried to just let it be.

7. What's changed on your blog since its inception? ...a redo? ...a change of pace? ...or is it about the same?
=Well, it is about the same. I have this blog's design about a year now.

8. If you could travel back in time and whisper something to yourself ten years ago, what would it be?
=Maybe, to find a different college degree than being a business administration student. Rather, go to a nursing school or be a medical student.

9. Okay, let's have it! What's the craziest, most impulsive thing you've ever done?
=I think when I went diving with my husband on our honeymoon. I don't know how to swim but I did experienced diving. It was crazy since I was so scared and yet quite careless to do but I have fun.

Bring Out the Beauty In Me

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of BH Cosmetics. All opinions are 100% mine.

When it comes to choosing the perfect make up, I always look at the ingredients in the product. Since I have sensitive skin, I always make sure that the makeup won’t irritate my face and end up having acne and wrinkles. Aside from looking at the makeup ingredients, I also want to save money. These days, a lot of makeup brands made with high quality ingredients and alternative organic choices are quite expensive. I don’t want to spend too much money on makeup because it just doesn't seem worth it. I think makeup should be affordable while still being made with great ingredients that are safe for any type of skin.

After all, I don’t wear makeup that often, only when I go to a party or sometimes to the store. Some of the makeup that I use are eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss. I don’t really wear that much eyeliner, blush or even lipstick. Since I use a lot of eyeshadow, I have always bought new ones. There are a lot of eyeshadow brands I can choose from, but I always make sure I buy based on the product’s quality and ingredients, how long it lasts, and how often I have to retouch. I also make sure that I have lots of colors to choose from, since I like to match my makeup with whatever clothing I may be wearing on that particular day.

Therefore, when I found out about BH cosmetics online, I was amazed at how many colors you can choose from for one set of eye shadow. If you look at their website today, you will find an up to 88 different colors of eye shadow for just $21.95! This is definitely the kind of product I am interested in buying. BH has more colors to choose from, and more reason to bring out the beauty in me. Likewise, the price is very affordable, and the products are made with high quality ingredients. Keeps Me Warm

>> Saturday, September 04, 2010

Last year, I have found plaid coat at AE.com and I order it right away, but unfortunately, when I wore it, a couple times, it wears out and ripped off right by the shoulder. So glad that I still have time to return and make an exchange.

So, I went to the store and look for the same coat but unfortunately I couldn’t find one anymore. But, they still have a jacket for winter, and it’s the Chill Parka jacket in thermal olive color. It really chills me out and it is very fashionable too. It fits all types of boots and I loved it.

At first, I was hesitant because of the faux fur hood but hubby told me that it is fine. It features: Soft, durable cotton blend, Classic parka shape, Full zip-up front, Button-up tab over zipper, Faux fur hood trim, Drawstring cinch waist, Ribbed collar and cuffs, Plaid lining and hood interior, Zipper chest pockets, Button-close side pockets and one thing is for sure, I loved it!

Now, I can't wait to get colder soon so that I could wear this jacket any time I want!

Best Summer Movies 2010

>> Thursday, September 02, 2010

This week on Thursday Thirteen is the best Summer movie of 2010..

1. Inception - A truly remarkable film that you will be able to understand on first viewing, though I'm positive there's much more to catch the second and third time around. The movie has everything a big summer blockbuster offers its audiences, such as action, suspense, mystery, romance, disaster, and sci-fi fantasy, and Christopher Nolan adds a creative and original story here.

2. Cyrus - Cyrus is a movie that succeeds because it approaches its subject matter in a serious way. The idea of a really strong mother and son relationship is not at all unrealistic. The son grows up with no father, gets attached to his mother. They spend so much time together that the mother becomes the sons only friend. Overall, an enjoyable little story.

3. Dinner for Schmucks - We just saw this on its opening weekend. As a comedy lover, I can honestly say that this movie contained more laughs than I've ever seen in one movie. Our sides hurt from laughing so hard. Sometimes we had to try to stop laughing just so that we didn't miss the next joke.

4. Holy Rollers - These films invariably start with youthful rebellion and innocence lost, set up by hallmark moments with friends and family, maybe some success in school. And that implication is not enough to pull the film out of the beige world of films about youth and drugs that feature characters willing to take more risks than the filmmakers are.

5. The Kids Are All Right - The film runs the emotional scale (without manipulation) from light & comical to heart-felt, dramatic & angry at times. I loved everything about The Kids Are Alright - a film that should appeal to both red & blue state folks. This is one of the best films of 2010!

6. Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work - Both funny and sad at different turns, this film is a portrait of a woman who is deeply committed to her craft. She probably doesn't have to work but doesn't know anything else. This film sheds light on Rivers' insecurities as well as her triumphs and inner drive to be relevant again. It also shows how those who are the most talented are also the ones who doubt themselves and their talents and abilities the most. It is essentially part of the reason for their brilliance.

7. Get Low - Get Low is being described as a Comedy/Indie Comedy and while there were some amusing moments and it did feature an 80s comic icon Bill Murray a comedy it is not. Ill tell you what it is though. Get Low is a wonderful movie with a great story, amazing performances, interesting cinematography, perfect timing and story development.

8. Going the Distance - Going the Distance is an irreverent romantic comedy that will please those looking for raunchy laughs or sappy tear jerking. he movie honestly shows emotions without glamorizing it or turning it into melodrama. It lets scenes play themselves out, whether filled with joy or despair. And despite some predictability, this movie is a near-perfect romantic comedy. I can't wait to watch it again.

9. Eat Pray Love - This is a fantastic movie for anyone who is trying to figure out their life. I think the people who don't like it are just not in the same place. But it will probably resonate with anyone trying to find answers, trying to define themselves, or trying to find meaning in life.

10. The Expendables - The Expendables is every thing I'd thought it be and more. This movie is the pinnacle of action films for this day and age, it unites the young and old action stars together to make a movie that you only thought was possible. The Expendables is exactly what it looks like a bloody over the top big budget action movie.

11. The A- Team - Great movie, decent plot, but not enough characters. The plot became predictable as to who was behind everything because there only were like 7 main people in the whole movie. Would have been better with more characters, but was still great to watch and hysterical. I would recommend seeing this movie.

12. Salt - I really liked this one! Not only does it show that women can kick butt without it looking fake, the story is compelling with twists that keeps you engaged throughout the whole movie! Jolie looks to be in excellent shape and her role would have been just as believable if it were written for a man. Definitely worth seeing, maybe even a keeper.

13. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - I enjoyed this movie. I saw this movie in theaters and it was absolutely amazing. I just loved it. I love Edward & Bella, I cant get enough of them. It is a wonderful movie to see. I loved it. There was a lot of action and then there was the romance. All time favorite movie.

Phone Replacement

Lately, I have noticed that my phones sound system was broken off. I didn’t mind it at all when I didn’t hear anything when somebody called me. Then, at one point, I received a text message when I placed inside my pocket, then I heard the broken, cracking sound of my phone’s ringtone. I thought there might be something wrong in it, so I tried to play music and that’s when I found out the broken sound. I was so disappointed because I love the phone; I like its style and design. But now it seemed like the phone is not durable enough to survive dropping and even long term usage.

Now, I was looking online to replace my phone into something that is durable and yet affordable. I was browsing at Buy.com for something cheaper phones which I don’t need to do something but to just replace my phone. I found an unlocked phone at their website at very reasonable prices. I’ve been wanted to own an unlock phone since I can use it at any network I want and just use it at any time.

Well, now I’m crossing finger here and I just can’t wait to replace my old phone now into something better and made with good quality audio sound system.

The Queen's Meme #51 ~ The Cooking 101 Meme

This week on The Queen's meme:

1. What is the best dish you can cook?
=I think I will consider beef stew.

2. Do I have to beat eggs or can I whip them gently? Sounds so violent to me.
=Well, you can beat eggs as much as you want when you were making scrambled egg to combine the white and the yolk or if you fried an egg then you can just whip them away.

3. I am reading a recipe right now for Hearty Beef-n-Cheese Pie from a recipe book I dug out of the cabinet. The instructions read..."Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large frying pan, brown ground beef, onion and green pepper."
I am already lost. Why must I turn on the oven and put the frying pan in it? And how does one turn beef AND peppers brown at the same time?!
What color should the onion be?
=Well, maybe it tells you to preheat the oven to 375 degrees for later baking use. In frying pan, it means you use the stove obviously because who is in the right mind will put a frying pan inside the oven? Anyway, to brown ground beef, only pertain to ground beef, then add onion and green pepper while browning the beef.

4. Did you ever cook something for your family that no one enjoyed and you had to throw out?
=Well, yes. I did cooked an adobo knowing my family will love it. I ended up just eat them all by myself. For about two days, I don't need to cook something for myself. I need to eat the adobo left over!

5. Why do all recipes say "mix sugar, flour and salt?" Don't they cancel out the other?
=I don't maybe because to make everything perfect!

6. Why must you add eggs "one at a time" to a mixing bowl? Does anybody really know the answer to this question?
=Maybe because to avoid bubbles. When you make a leche flan eggs makes a lot of bubbles when mixing them. So in order to avoid it, you have to add the egg slowly and beat them slowly then add milk when there's no bubbles anymore. It is required to make the flan smooth.

7. Please post the recipe to something you think even I can cook.
= maybe, the ITALIAN BREADED CHICKEN

4 to 6 chicken breasts boneless and skinless
Italian bread crumbs
1 envelope Good Seasons Italian Dressing
1 stick butter

Melt butter and dip chicken in butter, roll in Italian bread crumbs coating well. Arrange chicken in baking dish, sprinkle envelope of Good Seasons Italian dressing over chicken. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.

This week on Curious as a Cat:

1) What sound makes you grind your teeth and want to scream?
=When people on the road cut me off without warning or even thinking what they're doing!

2) Hardwood floors, or carpet: which do you prefer?
=I would choose hardwood floors because it's easy to clean and it looks nicer and cleaner.

3) What was the last magazine you finished?
=Well, it was Teen Magazine and Vogue.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

Public Domain Photo

=I couldn't think of anything but it remind of those time when Nazi terrorized the Jews and they put them in a house where they sleep on a sections like this. Very worst nightmare ever!
