How to Raise a Father?

>> Tuesday, August 31, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Raising a Father. All opinions are 100% mine.

Sometimes, being a good mother means maintaining a healthy relationship with your children. With everything going on, finding enough time to spend with my son can often be difficult. The other day, I was thinking to myself: How can I be sure I am spending enough time with my son? Then, I looked online and found a great book on the subject called, Raising a Father.

The book, Raising a Father, is about a busy corporate professional who one day realizes he has not spent nearly enough time being a father to his young daughter. Fearful that he may never get another chance to build a relationship, he resigns from his job, starts a home-based career, and begins a new life, focused on taking a significant role in his daughter’s life.

Raising a Father is a tender book about the parent-child relationship, and about taking the steps necessary to ensure you are always in your child‘s life when you need to be. I would recommend this book to any parent trying to balance work, social engagements, and family. This book really opens a parent’s eyes to the constant needs of their child, even more important than career, and the great importance of a quality parent-child relationship. Indeed, our children are our greatest responsibility. The book, Raising a Father reminds us of that critical fact.

So, if you’re a parent, pick up Raising a Father today. Look for it at the Barnes and Noble website.

Save Time and Money by Shopping Online

>> Wednesday, August 25, 2010

Online shopping is what I usually do when I wanted to buy something for my family. I can able to shop at any stores I wanted to go to without wasting gas or stuck in a traffic jam. Therefore, shopping online is one of the best things to do to save time and money as well. There are a lot of online stores these days that offers coupons and deals. If you visit some certain websites that offer online coupons, you can absolutely save money and enjoy the benefit of free shipping deals. When it comes to coupons, I always used them on groceries, clothing apparel, shoes, toys, and even home and bath accessories. Anytime, I was looking forward to buy something, I always make sure I have coupons in hand.

Recently, I shopped at one of my favorite stores online such as Wet Seal and Charlotte Russe because they were offering free shipping for the past few days. Sometimes, a lot of people don’t want to shop online due to shipping cost, but if you were smart and wise, you can find free shipping codes online. I saved money on shipping when I shopped at Wet Seal and about $12 on skirt and necklaces and I saved about 10% and about $15 for flat shoes at Charlotte Russe a great deal that I have found using Savings.com coupons . I was so happy that I could able to save money. The reason why, I always looking forward to, when it comes to shopping online. Now, I’m looking forward to go shopping again sometimes next week or two because I have found some coupons again from this website.

So, if you want to save money as well like me, without driving around and wasting your time and auto gas, then start shopping online now, but don’t forget the coupons!

1) What does "devotion" mean to you?
=According to the definition of Devotion, it means a consecration, a profound attachment to a person, or it can be a form of prayer. Well, when it comes to religious belief, my devotion is to only one God. That means, I was having a considerable extent of devotion which means whatever God told us to do for what is right then it will extend to my husband and my son, my family and friends. So, I guess, my devotion means a lot to me.

2) When was the last time you sat around and did nothing for a whole day?
=Well, whenever I sat around, I always have something going on. If I sit around and do nothing, it might because there's no electricity or internet. I always have to do something.

=Well, I experienced it before and I don't know why my heart always win over my brain and I don't even struggle to take a test. I just go what my heart says and I just ignore what my brain tells me. I guess, it gives me a good lesson too at the end which is good.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

Love Summer?

Last night, I talked to a friend of mine whom recently moved to another state. She was really excited about their move since this time she going to be closer to any beach resorts. I thought I wanted to moved out of Michigan too since it is too far from the ocean shore. We only have lakes in here which sometimes too cold to swim particularly when the sunset comes in. It will be colder soon because summer time will be over. Therefore, I envy my friend because she’s moving to a warmer state this time. She can go to the beach any time she wants too. I thought it might be not a good idea as well to stay at the warmer place for a long period of time. I’ve been there and I know it is too hard. I came from the Philippines when I came here in Michigan, USA, I know the difference but I guess I love the idea of cold and warm month’s options, like you can enjoy both of the weather seasons.

Well, after I talked to her, I went online and without a thought, I was just looking for some sweet deals on beach vacation online at http://avistaresort.com. Avista Resort is one of the online website where you can find beach vacation package deals and promos at any resorts in Myrtle Beach in both north and south Myrtle Beach. It is a place where you can get a good accommodation for any of your beach vacation needs like for Myrtle Beach hotel deals, condos, golf packages, and a lot more. Whatever you might need for a perfect vacation, Avista has it stored for you. It always has something new to offer and amuse you. If you love summer? This is a perfect place for you to check out because this is where the summer is all year around!

Shopping for Sale

Last weekend, when the storm hit us so hard, we ended up having a blackout for almost two days. It means we can’t watch a movie, our favorite TV shows, be online, or even be at home because there’s no air conditioning that makes us in balance temperature. So husband and I together with our son went out to get something to eat then went to the store to get something for tonight, some candles and ice. Then, all of a sudden, my husband asked me if I wanted to go to Old Navy, I was surprised! He even asked me to go there. Well, I love Old Navy stuff, they have lots on sale and I really wanted to see what they have for me.

So, I went inside straight to the clearance section of the store. I went to the kid’s clearance section first but I couldn’t find anything for my son and then went to men’s section and same thing, I could find anything. Lastly, I headed to women’s section and fortunately, I have found some of nice clothes that were on sale. I got myself a skirt, a pullover hoodies, a new tank, and a pair of cardigan sweater. For all of these items I only paid $21 with my 10% off survey coupon. Not so bad for those items which regularly priced up to $40. I was eyeing for their shorts but for $10, it was still too much for me. So, I need to wait until they reach 6 to 3 dollars.

Sometimes, it feels so good to shop where at the same time it saves you money. Every time I went shopping, I always make sure I got the best price in town and of course, good quality merchandise. That’s how it rolls, if you shop wisely, make sure you save money and get good deals. I can’t wait to go back soon at ON to find more items on clearance and save even more..

Wedding Anniversary Vacation Getaway

>> Monday, August 23, 2010

My husband and I are looking forward for our next wedding anniversary this coming December. We’re thinking of going to Florida to visit my father in law and then do some stop over to one of the prestigious beach vacation getaway destination in the country, the Myrtle Beach resort. She said that it was the nicest beach vacation she ever had after 8 years of being married since their wedding honeymoon. At that time, I was a bit envious with her because she finally had a chance to visit the place and enjoyed it with her family.

Last weekend, I went to the mall to buy myself a new pair of jeans and this time, I was looking for jegging. Jegging was a combination of a jeans and leggings when it’s called jegging, it is going to be slim and sleek and they are going to be tight. When it comes to jegging, I love American eagle and HollisterCo brands of jegging. I was shopping at American eagle but unfortunately some of their jegging jeans have no short inseam available, so I have to look for somewhere else and I have found them at HollisterCo store at our local mall. I wanted to shop only at these two stores because of a coupon. Fortunately, I have a coupon for 20% off for AE and HollisterCo stores, so I have to use them to save money.

So, I went to the store to get one pair of jegging, but I was so into their jegging since they were having a sale for $10 off. Instead of $39.50, they were on sale for only $29.89 which is not bad then I have 20% off. I bought a jegging in rinse and in navy color. They look so sexy and very sassy looking, I was so happy of what I bought. The inseam was just so right. Even though, they're a bit bunched up on the bottom, but may be too short for taller girls, it was just right for my height 5’1, however, they still look great though so I'm keeping them. I have tried size 3 but it was so big for me so I have to get size 1 and size small. So all in all I only paid $49 than $62 bucks which is somewhat very good price for both jegging. The other jegging was actually navy shiny in color but it always depend on the light. I have tried them on in my local store! I would suggest to every woman no matter the body type to give them a try! They are very stretchy and comfy! Right now in fashion, the skinnier the leg of your jean, the better! I wore them with gladiator sandals already and they will look super cute with flats as well!

Anyway, the jegging was so cute with its back pocket stitching and absolutely has an awesome butt fit and they are so easy to put on. The color is just right and it looks just like any pair of skinny jeans but fits just like leggings. I will definitely be purchasing more; I can already tell that these are going to be my new favorite go-to jeans! I love these jeggings so much! I can't wait for fall!

Sophisticated and yet Elegant Watch

>> Monday, August 16, 2010

A few years ago, my husband gave me a watch but then it was broken due to negligence a year after that. I was so sad about it so I was still using it even though the mirror has a little bit tips on it. Until the battery has gone out and I just stop wearing them. Then, I decided to buy a new watch again. This time with a black strap, I dropped it unintentionally this time which broke one of the stone which stuck every time the hands of the watch spins around.

So I stopped using it until I got it repair. Now, I was thinking of getting myself a new watch again. This time, I’m going for an expensive one. I knew that if I buy an expensive pair of watch I bet they will stay for a lifetime and I know they’re durable enough to stand from unwanted drop and even resistant to any natural events. So, I went online and I have found this dolce and gabbana watch at very affordable price. I wanted to get one and maybe this time, I will be careful and maintain protection to not drop or break my watch again.

Well, the watch I want is the one at the picture. Isn’t it lovely? What I like about this watch is that it has a scratch resistant mineral crystal and water resistant. It looks sophisticated and yet very elegant too. I can’t wait to have a new pair of this watch soon.

Brody Shoes

Last month, I was blogging about the shoes that I bought for my son Josh from Famous Footwear. Unfortunately, the shoes were still a little bit big for him and I couldn't find the receipt to make an exchange for a smaller size but I couldn't find the receipt for some reason it was misplaced. So, I just rather kept it and maybe buy a new one for him. He could still wear them by the time he can wear size 10.5. I bet it will be soon.

So, today, with my husband we went to the mall to return the jeans I bought online a few days ago. Then, we went to Stride Rite to buy our son new shoes. At the store, I find out that they were having sale where you can buy one and get 50% off for a second pair. We just can’t wait to buy him shoes since his old ones were just don’t fit anymore. So, we have to buy one that would stay for a little while. I have been buying Stride Rite shoes and they were really durable and made with high quality. They lasted for about few years unless the child will outgrow them. I love their products despite the fact that they were really expensive too. I thought they will worth the price actually.

So, we went to the mall and we ended up buying a casual shoes for my son. It is a Brody shoes. Every boy needs a go-to brown shoe in his closet. This Brody shoes is a great choice for special occasions or everyday wear. With built in Sensory Response Technology this shoe is far from basic. Moisture-wicking, eco-friendly linings keep feet dry while sensory pods in the out sole provide ultimate flexibility and comfort which I need to make my comfortable as well.

The shoes was really perfect because it was leather, suede, has a nubuck upper. It has hook-and-loop closures for easy on and off and it has adjustability snaps. I love the idea of pad sole too, they're really soft. I just can’t wait for my son to wear them soon. I know he will love it too!

Affordable Eyeglasses

Are you looking for a cheaper and yet affordable prescription eyeglasses? If you do then you might want to check out Zenni Optical. At Zenni Optical, you can find wide selection of prescription eyeglasses at very affordable price and yet made with high quality material. I know that branded eyeglasses worth a lot of money, especially if your eyes are worst than the normal vision of 20/20. Once I’ve been there, I went to this optical store and eventually pay for about $300 worth of prescription eyeglasses. It’s crazy but I have to in order to see what is around me. I know and so why not find the cheapest eyeglasses today?

Well, there are some problems that I have heard about that some optical doctors are having a second thought of giving outpatient’s PD results which is something not so good to hear about. If you don’t know about PD. It is simply meant your pupil distance result which was taken if you wanted to get a new pair of eyeglasses or just replace the glass of your old eyeglasses. It was necessary in order to get the right distance that you want. Some doctors aren’t really considerate when it comes to this because they don‘t want their patients to get pair of eyeglasses to their competitors which is not really acceptable. I think it is the right for every customer to get their PD and I guess, we have the right to save money too. So, I was so against with this and we have to fight back.

1) Have you ever been stung by a bee?
=Yes, I do! When I was about 12 to 13 years old. I remember I was at the guava tree at that time trying to get one of the guava where suddenly something bit me. It was burning so bad that I can't help it not to cry. I was so stress and scared. My mom did first aid and I was thankful. Although the bee's sting has been taken off but it was still swelling. After a few days, it's getting better and better. I was grateful.

2) Have you ever made a daisy chain?
=I did when I was in elementary. We were asked to make one for our graduation. I think I did make one and combined it with a straw. It was a nice one though. I think my mom bought some too for me.

=Well, I did have one when I was little. My brother has one too but it was a toy.

Find Schools Online

>> Friday, August 13, 2010

Are you looking for the best school online? If you do then you might want to check out the website where you can find the best Online School of health care, criminal justice, computer technology, arts and humanities, and business degrees. I have heard about it online when my husband’s brother was looking for an online school that is well accredited and yet affordable in terms of tuition fees and application.

When finding the right school, sometimes we always need to be cautious of some school today where you will never know, if they were really an accredited university or college which unless you visit a certain website that will help you find out more about the school. You have to be wise and be knowledgeable of what you will going to do since at the end you might pay a lot of money than what you can make once you graduate.

Therefore, when I told my husband about it, he shared it to his brother. I hope my brother in law will get the best school he wants now to be in a graphic design industry.

New Toddler Shoes

Last month, I went shopping for new shoes for my son. Since one of the shoes stores that I like to shop shoes at was having sale, I went online right away to buy my son a new casual shoes. I have found these cute shoes from Skechers. It will surely give my son a smooth casual style in the Urbantrack II-Rage sneaker. This sporty shoe has a faux-leather upper with a Z-Strap front with closure for easy on and off. It features faux-leather upper with stitching and overlay accents, side stripes and super z-strap front with velcro closure which I like the most about this shoes, fabric lining, cushioned insole, shock-absorbing midsole and cleated traction outsole. I love these shoes because they can be dressed up or down and they are easy to get on and off by himself. Plus, they are seemed made well, very sturdy and very good looking shoes. We actually always buy stride rite shoes but this time, I wanted to get him something affordable. Since I have a coupon, I wanted to use and get advantage of it.

On Facebook, Famous Footwear was giving away $10 off coupon with any $10 purchase plus free shipping. It was a great deal so I grabbed the chance and order a new pair of shoes. Then, it was on sale for $29.99 from a regular price of $39.99. I used my $5 certificate with it. So, basically I only paid about $15. What a great deal for this nice rubber foot sole and good grips on the bottom shoes!
I can’t wait to get my son to wear these shoes soon. Maybe he will when the weather will get colder a little bit.

He will surely look like a little man on those shoes...

Better Digicam on the Loose

>> Wednesday, August 11, 2010

It has been almost 6 years now since we got our digital camera. So basically the camera is now out of the best when it comes to digital camera. A lot of people find digital camera very well made. If you have better megapixels, then the camera was made better and produces high quality pictures. Then, aside from that, most of the digital cameras now are made thinner and even smaller. Plus, a lot of digicam has already got the features of having both optical and digital zoom capabilities. One of the best cameras of today was absolutely the compact digital camera. I have lots of friends who owned one and definitely the pictures they took was the best, very clear and neat.

Well, I really wanted to have one. I wanted a new digital camera to replace our old one. This time, I’m going to get the one with 10 MP or more. I wanted to buy one that can last forever and still working great unlike our old camera which now acting crappy and though the quality of the picture was good for 7mp but sometimes it gets blurry.

As of now, I’m sticking with it until we can buy a new digital camera which at the meantime reading digital camera reviews online is quite helpful for me to find the best one by the time I am ready to buy a new camera. I know the better ones is just out there and on the loose. I just can’t wait to find and own them someday!

Age Doesn't Matter

A friend of mine was aggravated when she finally turned 40 today. I was so with her too, but we all know that life is a cycle that we should expect is never ending. I can’t believe either that two years or more, I will be turning 30 too. I know days and nights went by so quickly without noticing that sooner I will be a 40 year old woman too.

Today, I talked to her and looking forward to have some plans to have a birthday party for her but she was cynical with the idea. So, we ended up having no plan of a party for her. We just have to wait until she decided to do some party for herself, so we can do the rest for her. But I thought it will never happen since she was so affirmed not to do any party for her 40th birthday. She was so sad about it too where she was having problem with Age Spots sooner or later. I think it was a boundless to experience problem associated with skin.

At my age of 28, I was noticing some problem too. I find my skin a little bit different when I was on my 25th. I think it is just a normal problem that we can prevent by using Skin Care Products. Online you can find a lot of Acne Products that could make you feel healthier and younger looking and just enjoy life to the fullest. Well, now I’ve been using some acne products and facial lotion that will soothe my skin and helped it to revitalize. I know we can do anything to prevent aging. I think my friend needs to do something despite her age is growing, but what important is, she would still looked young and healthy. I think that’s what matters most.

Brown Gladiator Sandals

A month ago, I was browsing online again to buy a new gladiator sandal for myself. But this time, I was looking for a brown pair of sandal. Since I already have the black one, I was determined to get a brown one. I was browsing it at Overstock.com when I have found this Damita K Women's 'Krystal-09' Gladiator Sandals at very affordable price. It features padded sole of these with floral paisley pattern. The lining was made of faux leather.

Anyway, I really like my shoes as far as looks. The color is beautiful and I like the style and the design in the sole. However they do need a little more soft sole, though. Overstock did get them to me faster than I expected, where I had a chance to wear them at a baby shower by next week. The sandal looks really good with just about anything. The shoes were indeed made with good quality. I never had been disappointed with the quality. Plus, I get them at very affordable price and then the shipping was fine. I don't feel like I have been ripped off from their low 2.95 charges, then I had 10% off which is not so bad at all.

These sandals I purchased are wonderful. They are so comfortable. Everyone wanted to know where I purchased them. They said they were really a nice looking sandal. I would recommend to anyone.

New Trend of Wool Clothing

>> Tuesday, August 10, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.

Wool clothing is one the best apparels to wear during the winter season. What I like about wool clothing is its natural stability in making the human body warm. When I wear wool clothing, I don’t need to wear layers because it is enough alone to make me warm. But unfortunately, wool gives me itches, making me red on my body, and specifically around my neck. Most of our outer wear is made of wool; therefore, every time I wear my wool coat, I always have to wear a scarf to protect my skin from rubbing the coat against my skin. So, every time my husband and I go to the store to buy a new sweater for the winter, we always have to look for something that has less wool fabric in it because we don’t want to itch when we wear it.

Good thing I heard about Rambler's Way new technology to make the itch problem disappear. They have developed ways to make soft, light weight wool clothing. They make wool fabric less itchy, while maintaining its capability to warm the body. Finally, someone discovered a technology to make soft, next-to-skin wool apparel without the itch! This is just what I’ve been looking for. I can’t wait to receive one of their excellent wool clothing products soon.

3) How many of your old phone numbers do you remember?
=I only remember one or two right now. Even my husband's old phone numbers.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

It reminds me of those movies on hot motorcycle race and how they fall and stuff. How they got injured and fly from the accidents. It's crazy but it seemed like it's part of what they do.

Looking for New Stuff

A few days ago, there a lot of things was going on. First, our Internet connection was acting up again and so we need to contact the network provider to do some things for us to get the Internet back. Then, now, I need to do something and get a new computer to get everything fix for my husband. He needs a new computer and so I had to make an update for our old desktop to work it out again. It just needs a new operating system and it will work again. So, now I've been looking for a new operating system for it. Aside from that, I was also looking for a computer desk table and chair for it to set up in our bedroom. Good thing I have found some website that enabled me to buy cheaper and yet still in good quality stuff for our computer. There are some wholesale distributors that offer cheaper buy and sell products at very reasonable prices.

Now, I can't wait to get some thing before our new Internet connection hook up next week, hopefully. I have to get things done or else I would have been stuck with lot of things and pending tasks to do.
