New Jeans on the Block

A couple of weeks ago, I received a coupon from Aeropostale for a $10 off if you buy worth of $50 which is a good deal. So, I was so excited about it, also when I got a giftcard from last Christmas. So, when I got to the store, I was so surprised since there are a lot of people on the line and it was so congested. I was still went shopping and I have found their jeans very cute and well-fitted too. I usually go to Ae.com for jeans since they always fitted me so right but I did not know Aero jeans is the best too.

For Christmas, my husband and I received a few gift cards from family and friends. Some people, armed with several gift cards, might be tempted to go on a power-shopping spree, and spend most, if not all of the funds at once. However, I believe in pacing myself, and for two reasons. The first reason is that drawing shopping out for months means more trips to the stores, which in turn means more fun for me. (Aren’t we shopaholics all the same?) The second reason is; you want to wait for better prices on the things you want. Here’s the thing: after the Christmas shopping season is over, it’s time for stores to get rid of their Holiday overstock, and make room for new stuff. So, you might have your eye on a really cute sweater, or a pair of jeans at 50% off just after New Years, but if you wait a couple more weeks, that same cute sweater, or pair of jeans might be another half off, which now means 75% the original price for you! Awesome! I love sales on redlines, don’t you? They make a girl feel so warm and fuzzy and cashmere inside!

So, to all my fellow shopaholics, tightly clutching your Holiday gift cards of free spending money, take my advice in this: when it comes to gift-card spending and getting the most for the amount, slow and prolonged can be better than quick and shortened. Yesterday, I went to a store to look for face cream, I could not buy one since I don’t know which one is good enough and yet affordable. There are a lot of facial cream out there these days but don’t know which one really healthy to use. I have known some facial cream but some of them cause wrinkles and even dryness to my skin. I have been using facial cream to protect my facial skin from make ups and some winter dryness too. Therefore, I really use facial cream and moisturizer to keep my skin soft and yet healthy. But, I started to stop using my facial cream because I couldn’t find it at the store that I went to. So, now I was looking for the alternative.

Curious as a Cat: Jan 11th

This week on Curious as a Cat:

1) Do you know any professional athletes? = Yes, but most of them are from my home country, Philippines. So, Philippine athletes like Efren Bata Reyes for billiard, James Yap for Basketball, Manny Pacquiao for boxing, and Lydia de Vega for track and field team.

2) What one thing frightens you the most about growing old? = Being alone and living alone.

3) Have you ever harvested fruits or vegetables? = Yes! Once when I visited my uncle's farm way back in the Philippines. It's a coffee seeds actually. It was fun and after wards we ate cooked banana and some hot chocolate. I also remember harvesting a vegetables, it was a swamp cabbage. It was fun since I always find a snail instead of helping my mom.

Modern Furniture

There’s a lot of modern furniture these days that you can find online now because when I look for a coffee table, side table, and a printer table I have found a lot of choices. I wanted a modern, contemporary style of furniture; therefore, I wanted modern style furniture. I have found some of them at various different style and design but sometimes the prices is kind an off limited for my budget. I can’t afford to buy a thousand worth of furniture for only one side table or a console table.
Somehow, it made me realized that it will worth the price because of the type of wood and the quality of its manufacturer. It probably will last for a life time and it probably will costs more in the next couple years.

What I want for my Birthday?

It’s almost four months to go for my next birthday and what I want for my birthday is now I know! I want my husband to get me a new diamond ring for my 28th birthday! Back from Off-blogging Vacation

When my sister and her family came over for a holiday vacation with us, I was kind so excited about it that I don't want to blog or do other things. Aside from that, I get used to it. Now, I've been missing to blog for almost three weeks now and I feel so bad about it. Then, New Years came, that's where I started getting lazy now to blog and just wanted to watch movies and sit. Although, I do some household chores but I never felt on writing and to update my blogs. I feel like I was hibernating or something especially now that it is so cold here in Michigan.

Anyway, I will be pretty busy soon when school starts on the 14th of January, I’ll be missing to blog again. I wish I could just do blogging but I can’t and I have to go to school to pursue my career. I can’t be a blogger for my whole life.

Well, now I am so glad I’m back on blogging for now and I wish I could do anything I have to do before the next week starts soon.
