Saturday 9: White Christmas

1. If you live where you get winter weather, do you prefer your Christmas to be white? If you never see snow, do you wish for it? = In the Philippines, it is so impossible to get a snow unless we make our own. So when I was a child I wish that someday that I can able to see snow. Also to experience how it is like to experience snow during Christmas season. Now, I finally experienced it that I will never forget...

2. How many holiday cards did you receive from people you hadn't sent cards to, after the "mailing deadline?" Did you send a card anyway? = But I received four cards this holiday season and no, I don't send cards...

3. When the clock strikes Midnight on New Year's, will you be at home, at a party, or somewhere else? = I don't know where we will be but I guess we are at home watching movies.

4. Have you ever taken the keys and driven home a friend that you felt was too drunk to drive? If not, do you think you would attempt to if that situation ever arose? = yes, I guess that's the good thing to do.

5. Tell us about a gift that you either bought or made for someone else that you wanted for yourself! = I think it was a 3 mini bowl for dip and chip that I bought at Kohls. I was thinking of not going to the Christmas party and just decided to keep it but I never did...

The Most Annoying Christmas Meme Ever

This week on The Queen's meme:

1. What is the most annoying Christmas song? = I hate hearing the song, Joy to the World because I always heard this song in my whole life. Maybe having a nickname such Joy is ridiculous!

2. Name one annoying thing that happens to you each time you get together with your family during the holidays. = I think when some friends came over and it is snowing outside. I hate cleaning the wet floor over and over again. I think one of the thing that really annoys me is that when they started talking about over the belt...you know what I mean.

3. What is eggnog? Think about it. Does anybody really know? = I think it is a fresh milk with sugar and eggs. I remmeber when I was still in the Philippines, there is a cookie brand named EggNog and it made with eggs and milk.
To know more about Eggnog, I search it online and I have found this information: Eggnog is a sweetened dairy-based beverage made with milk, cream, sugar, beaten eggs (which gives it a frothy texture), and flavoured with ground cinnamon and nutmeg; alcoholic versions also exist with the addition of various liquors, such as brandy, rum, whiskey, advocaat and/or Baileys Irish Cream.

4. Don't take this personally but there are lots of fruitcakes walking around. Have you encountered any real live nuts lately? = Well, when I was in the Philippines, fruit cake is much better because they were made fresh and still warm from the oven. I have tasted fruit cake here, ready to eat it was disgusting. I think my mom made the best fruit cake ever!

5. Why were the nine Lords a'leaping in those annoying tights???! = I don't know...

6. What is the most annoying Christmas gift you've ever received? = I think it was when I was in Elementary and we had an exchange gift party at my school. I have the best gift ever because it was a toy and if somebody got it, they will be thankful and happy of what they've got. Then, when I received my gift from an exchange gift, I was so disappointed because I got crackers and some candies. I was so sad the whole time and I was like mad too. It was such a funny, memorable experience though.

What did you do with it?? = I just bring it home and show it to my mom....I don't know and I don't remember what happen after that.

7. Let's admit it: Christmas, with all its splendor and goodwill, can also be a pain in the royal patootie. How do you plan to circumvent annoyances this year and enjoy the season? = Well, maybe just go with the flow to survive because sometimes things happened on purpose and I guess, it is better to just accept and be flexible about it.

Curious as a Cat for December 21st

1) Do you think you are fashionable? - I don't think so but I dress as what normally people dress like jeans and blouses or even wear some coats and jackets during fall and winter season.

2) If you could plan a trip anywhere in the world for yourself and your mate, where would you like to go? - I would love to visit my home country again, and I would love to visit and make a trip to the Philippines. Then, we can able to explore Europe too and maybe visit a long time friend to Germany.

3) What major crime have you most often been seriously tempted to commit - Well, maybe theft. I always steal my mom's cash at her purse and then she will asked everyone in the house who took her money, then we all denying it eventually. I only steal money from my mom and that's it...:D and that's what when I was about 9 years old, I guess because I really wanted to buy some snacks...LOL!

It's hard because I might die!!!

Do you make up a story or tell him where you are going and try to talk your way out of the citation? Tell us your excuse. ~Well, cops ask you what you were speeding, right? And you tell them, you're in a hurry blah blah blah...but they don't mind it, they will give you a ticket anyway, so what for the talking too much about it. Just give me the ticket so I can go...geesh!LOL! I hate speeders, though!

Accessorizing my Phone

Last week, I went online to shop some accessories for my new phone Nokia Twist 7705. I saw some accessories such as faceplates online for only $7.99 and they were on sale which is not bad at all. After a week of waiting for the products, I finally received it today! Good thing, it looks so pretty good on my cellphone, I never expect that it could be nicer than I thought. The faceplates is actually a good thing to do to protect a cellphone. It personalizes the look of my phone with an attractive black with pink butterflies & flowers snap-on protector case. I also got the white with red flowers design snap-on protector case. Now, I don't need any holster or cases for my phone.

The Shopping Madness

It's time for The Queen's Meme and this week's questions are:

1. What is favorite item to shop for and why? = Purse and shoes because they fascinates me a lot, I love the different designs and styles and it seem like I want to own everything which is impossible, as long as I made a hundred million dollars. I don't know, it just I love shoes and purse a lot.

2. Quality vs. Price. Will you buy off-brand replicas at a discount store or must you have the real thing? Why or why not? = Well, I love to save money a lot but when it comes to replica thing, your wasting your money as long as the replica ones is known to really made durable products, then it's worth it. If not, then I would go to the real ones because they last for a long time based on my experience.

3. Have you ever asked a sales clerk to remove something from display if it is the last one in the store? Tell us what special something would make you strip the clothes off a mannequin.
(which begs the question...Are all mannequins born naked?) = Yes, I do because I really wanted the blouse and I really asked the sales clerk to check if it's were my size and it was, so I ended up buying it, though and the mannequin was left naked afterward.

4. I really don't care if a guy goes shopping with me. I'm in my own zone and always have a plan. Are you an alone-shopper or would you like to have company? = I always have a company. My husband always comes with me when I went shopping, maybe to see how much money did I spend or something but he loves it. Since I hate driving, so probably that is why he is with me all the time.

5. Have you ever done anything other than actually try on clothes in a dressing room? (I have no idea why this question followed the previous one. Ahem.) = LOL! Well, I have done something else actually, maybe sit and relax for a while talking to my sister or friend. I think my feet was sore at that time so I have to sit and don't care about those people waiting in line at the dressing room. Then, I also put make up on if I feel like too. I think that's all I did aside from trying on clothes.

6. Do you like or do you get annoyed when salesclerks and store management follows you around asking "May I help you?" a million times? (I have no idea why this question followed the previous one.) = Yes! Absolutely! As if like I really wanted some help and I was disabled and can't find what I wanted, you know. It's like I have a shadow or tail behind me. And every time they do, I always said, I'm fine and everything is good. Good thing, they don't ask about a million times though or else I would answer the same for billion times before they ask another question again.

7.. Create your very own store-brand name. (ie; Toys 'R Us, WalMart) What would YOUR establishment's name be? = JoyMart

1) What is your favorite current TV commercial? = I love the progressive insurance commercial as well as the baby who burf in front of the desktop computer. I forgot what commercial it was from but it was so funny.

2) Have you ever gotten off at the wrong stop on the subway or bus? = I think it happened when I was in the Philippines. I gotten off in the wrong bus, so I went into the wrong destination. It was funny because I never got off from it and wait which is so stupid...

My New Twist

Last Friday, I was out of the house early in the morning just to go shopping with my mother in law for Black Friday shopping. And I came home about 5 pm approximately. I was out of the house for 12 hours, shopping! This is the most unforgettable shopping experience for me ever. We went to lots of stores and in between we stopped for breakfast and lunch. It was amazing and my mother in law is indeed a shopaholic. I guess that’s one of the reasons why we got along so well.
So, when I came home that day, my new phone came from the mail and hubby got it already. I was so excited to open it and to see it in actualization. My phone is a Nokia Twist 7705 by Verizon Wireless. It was indeed so small and just so right for my little fingers.

What I love about this cell phone is obviously its size, and also it is a Nokia phone. I had been using Nokia in the Philippines and so now I wanted to try some Nokia products again after Motorola and Blackberry.

When I received it, it was even smaller than I imagined which I love! The twist feature is fun because you can read texts and navigate the phone without even having to open it unless you need to type something. Also in habitat mode the background colors change based on morning, day, evening or night. I wish it will last for a year…

I had it now for four days and looking forward to have more bonding time with my Nokia Twist.

Shopping for TV?

A few months ago, hubby and I were looking for a new HDTV. It was indeed our first TV that we bought since we got married. I love it because we can able to stream using a blu-ray disc player plus it saves a lot of space. Having a flat screen tv is awesome because you don’t need a huge tv stand just to put a 46 inch TV. Now, I have been searching online as well to get our son a TV for his room as well. Maybe a 24 inch LCD TV would work for him. I guess we have to shop for new TV again online.
