Do you believe in magic?

This week on The Queen's meme is:

1. Tell us about your superstitions. Do you have any? Do you "x out" black cats on the windshield of your car, avoid cracks in the sidewalk or practice other rituals that make you feel safer?
Don't have any? Come on now! Make up some....

~In the Philippines, we have lots of superstitions. And I guess I will have no time posting them all in here. Some of these superstitions I actually applied on my daily existence which is funny because I actually did them myself believing it might be true, you know and nothing is wrong to do them.

First, if you dream of losing your teeth, a family member will die and to stop it, you have to bite a wood using your teeth right before you woke up from that dream and better not to talk yet before you do it.

Second, don't sweep the house at night or you sweep away the blessings.

Third, pink eye can be cured with breast milk or with the first urine in the morning.

Fourth, during a girl's first menstruation, she must be careful not to step in animal waste, or her menstrual blood will always smell awful. During the first menstruation, a girl should rub tomato on her face to ensure she always has soft skin. Blood from the first menstruation cures pimples if rubbed on one's face.

Lastly, brides shouldn't try on her wedding dress before the wedding day or the wedding will not push through.

2. Has anything paranormal ever happened to you that you can write about?
Yes. It happened about 13 years ago . When we went for a Young People's meeting for three days and we stayed at one of the cabin by a meeting hall and between 2 to 3 am we always experienced sounds of shoe heels stomping on the floor with chain on them as if like they were dancing or something, water running as if somebody was washing, then, we heard someone or something trying to open the main front door. It was a glass door but I never had a chance to look who is in there because I was so afraid and chillingly nervous to do so. Then, after three days of being there, I was so excited to go home. When I was at home, my sister noticed that in my sleep, I was shaking. I still have the trauma, I guess.

3. Have you ever had a near-death experience?
Care to share?
~No, not at all. I hope not.

4. Pheromones...aka "love fireworks" (I think I remember those)...are a force to be reckoned with. Do you believe that two people can have an uncontrollable chemical reaction to each other? How do you know this to be true?
~I don't know about that...

5. Do you believe that modern day witches can put spells on people?
If so, who would you like to hoodoo and why?
~I don't think so, I guess some of them can be affected if they still believe it exist.

6. ESP! What do those letters stand for in your life?
~None at all.

7. Do you ever hear strange noises in your house?
If so, what do they sound like?
~Well, I never heard of my noises as of now since we moved into our new home, but I do hear some noises when we were still renting an apartments, where I could feel the hair on the back of my neck standing up. Some sounds like as if somebody was running on the living room, then, door opening also when I heard people talking too but then no one is around.

8. Tell us about a time you "knew" something was going to happen before it did. Are you one of those intuitive types or do you know someone who is ? Do tell.
~I don't really have this kind of premonition experiences, and I never knew anyone who does.

9. I'm a tad gifted in the dream department. Really. Sometimes my dreams are prophetic and come true. It can be a blessing and a curse. Has this ever happened to you? If not, would you like to have this gift? (Be careful what you wish for. It can be freaky at times.)
~It never happened to me at all. Well, I wish it happened to me too. That's a great gift...
