It's time for my Friday Five. Today's questions are;
1. Smells, and memories. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory? Do share.
~Yup! My husband's perfume called Acqua Di Gio. Every time he wears this perfume. It always reminds me of those memories we had 4 years ago. The first time we've met and kiss. The first time we held each other after a almost a year of being away with each other due to my visa paperworks too.
2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.
~Yes, there's two songs that I wanted to share. First, it's a song entitled, " On This Day". By David Pomeranz. Every time I heard about this song, it reminds me of how lucky I am to marry the man I loved so much. This is also our wedding song. Second, a song by K-Ci and Jojo, entitled, "All my Life". My husband dedicated this song to me. At that time, we never met in person yet. Obviously, we met online and that's where we started it all. He sung this song to me, so every time I heard about this song, it always reminds me of him.
3. How about a song that brings up painful memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.
~ Oh boy...painful memories. It was a song entitled, "As the Deer". It was a Christian song but in reality it really brings me painful memories. It was the time when my former boyfriend, who happened to be my brother at the Church that I usually attended in the Philippines. He sang this song to me. So, every time I heard about it, it just always bring back those painful memories. Though, it's quite over, I'm totally over with it but still the scar remains.
4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
~Yes, it's a Balut. A fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. It was good and delicious. It reminds me of a Young People's Training at our Church in the Philippines, where my sisters in Church used to go outside and peek, just for us to be able to buy some Balut. It was a funny, joyful memories. I missed it so much!
5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?
(sic)
~I have lots of those. I have a cami and necklace that was given by my sister in law, a small key chain were my sister bought when she came home in the Philippines to visit our family. An earring which given by my husband when we were still in courtship relationship. I have this jacket that was given by my sister in laws during my arrival here in US. A Wind Chime which was a gift during our wedding in the Phillippines.
